  1. I found myself interested in why the tree lost its fill and then "regained" it. The quick change provide contrast and made me want to examine the story further.

  2. I loved the story mainly because of its evolution. A tree growing, becoming a tire swing (designed by a father for his daughter) , and when the memories of the tree seem lost. A girl appears, grieving/praying memories to the tree. If I am not mistaken, it is the same young girl (the daughter, when she was little), whom used to play tire swing on the tree.

    Good concept of the story.

Speaking of father and daughter, I also loved the animation with the father and daughter growing and changing with the tree. The black marker really adds depth and silhouette emotion to the story.

    Great work.

  3. Your flip book had an amazing story to it! It was so sentimental with the father, daughter, and the tree. I'm glad you kept the story with just black... it seems to tell a better story with it being in black instead of color. Great job with the story!

  4. Taylor! I loved yours! It was super dark and cool. I liked the sharpie idea too. It kind of reminded me of the book, The GIving Tree"-which is like my favorite book by the way. You had a cool concept and story. Phenomenal job!

  8. I loved the story and the penmanship was done very well. The concept of the movement of time translated perfectly in your story and it was easy to see and understand what was happening. Good Job :)

  9. tire swing is really epic. i was truly captivated by the years 2001-2038 in the right hand corner, but they lead me no where. what a shame! loved everything else, just wish they would have exploded or something.

  10. I hope you've read the 'Giving tree' by Shel Silverstein cause this is a wonderful comparison to that book. This is a great story and you delivered very well. Great job, I really liked it.
